I find it to be a societal shortcoming that shorthand has become obsolete. It is the case that we can write quickly in front of the computer, but no normal writer can keep up with a typist under any circumstances. It is this fact that is regarded as unimportant, but that is where I think the tide of things have gone astray. The relationship between thoughts and writing them on paper is something that is understood to a psychological degree, but for the most part it has not been explicitly investigated. And if I err in saying this, then I can at least say that a fundamental ontology for writing has not been created either. For if we conjure up a sentence and write it down, and if we happen to write slow, then the action of writing down the idea occurs while the mind is retaining the idea to be written down. If shorthand were in place, then the problem of retaining an idea simply for the sake of writing it down will be solved and it will be the case that we could think of another idea while writing the idea that came before it. What do we have, then? We have a stronger tie, still not a perfect one but improved nonetheless, between the mind and the writing, something that typing can accomplish somewhat, but something writing hardly ever accomplishes.

The next point I would argue is that if kinesthetic learning is more prevalent in writing than is typing, then perhaps the mind-writing connexion will prove to be superior in learning while not having to sacrifice the speed of a typist's.

I dont know if this is old or new...but I actually just saw it today. Its awesome for Rob fans!

Hola todo el mundo *espera que le contesten* bueno pues inmortal es la culpable de que ande aquí, y se lo agradezco ;) porque aaaahhh cómo me hicieron reír todas sus ocurrencias.

Así que también aquí otra más empedernida de Twilight haciendo uso de la ociosidad y pues como todavía no encuentro una imagen que quiero para un macro que tengo pensado desde hace tiempo, les vengo a compartir uno que hice con total falta de inspiración pero que me hace reír (por lo que podemos comprobar que a veces soy muy simple e incoherente).

Solo espero que les guste y que finjan demencia si les pareció idiota XD

I've been having this dilemma for quite some time now. In the past all my layouts have worked in 800x600 screens.

However, I'm thinking more and more of dropping that support and designing for screens @ 1024 x 768 - particularly for three column layouts were the sidebar and sideheaders are between 200px to 300px wide - they simply don't look good or even work sometimes in smaller resolutions like 800 x 600. So, here's a super quick poll:
